Overview
We did this drive so that we could see Hobbiton. If you’re into LoTR, it’s very enjoyable. We bought the “Hobbit lunch” or something afterwards, that was very much not worth (generic banquet buffet of mediocre food).

A nerd at Hobbiton.
They really put a lot of work into detail at Hobbiton
There are 44 holes in Hobbiton, each with a unique look.
One thing I hadn't thought through is that there are both human-scale and hobbit-scale hobbit holes, so that (for example) if Gandalf goes by the scale looks right.

In Hobbiton there are both human-sized and hobbit-sized holes, depending on what angles/forced perspective they were looking for
The original "holes" from the movie set are just facades. The owners recently hired original set decorators from the movies and made a few full holes, which are just spectacular.
Evidently this is what a hobbit bedroom looks like.
